I discovered a new hobby that I enjoy quite a bit. I started off using my phone, taking pictures of things that I thought were pretty, but as I did that, I started realizing how often I do that and how much I like doing it. I got so into this photography so I decided to take a class on it in school. The course has helped a lot and has expanded the style of photography that I do. I have found a really large interest in portraiture.
Someone in my photography class pointed out that a lot of my photos are grunge or nature shots. My teacher had said that themes of the photos usually relate to something within the photographer. I spent most of my time outside as a kid, catching frogs and playing in the mud so I automatically made the connection as to the nature photography. Since I found a reason for one theme, I tried to figure out why I enjoy grunge photography so much. After going through my interests in my head, I realized the influence my music has on me. I drag people to settings that fit in the style of grunge so I can take there pictures because I like the look of it. I find these photos are like the image of my music. I enjoy the similarities of the 2 interests, since they are both a big part of my life right now.
